Mission

American Red Cross Northern Lower MichiganThe American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

When disaster strikes, whether it is a single-family fire or large disasters such as hurricane, flood, and tornado, the Red Cross is there. In our communities the Northern Lower Michigan Chapter is there 24-hours-a-day to help victims rebuild their lives by providing food, new clothing, shelter, and replacement of lost medications based on disaster-caused losses. All Red Cross disaster assistance is a gift from the American people. The American Red Cross is not a government agency.
